For a serene nature experience, explore the scenic Iona State Natural Preserve. Located on the east side of town, the Iona State Natural Preserve is home to a variety of different plants, animals, and terrains. From the open grasslands to the rugged and rocky hillsides to the wetlands, this reserve is an amazing place to explore. When it comes to recreational activities, Iona has something for everyone. At Snowbird Park, you’ll find a variety of different activities, such as a basketball and tennis court, a playground for children, and a picnic area. In the summertime, the park is especially fun as it hosts concerts and theatrical performances. On the weekends, families may partake in some friendly competition at the PuttPutt Putt Course or enjoy a relaxing afternoon of fishing at the Iona Pond.
